Assembly, installation and connections
I will briefly summarize the assembly and mounting points of the Xeneon Edge, whereby the official quick start guide and the Corsair instructions should also be helpful so that you can get started without any guesswork. In the box are the display, the magnetic desk stand and three cables, a 1.8 meter USB-C cable with DisplayPort Alt-Mode, a 1.8 meter HDMI to DisplayPort cable and a 0.7 meter internal USB-C cable for connection to a motherboard header, this parts list is shown in the Quick Start page and it is also correct.
For use on the desk, I simply place the enclosed stand on the back, it is held in place by four strong magnets, the display then stands at an angle on any smooth surface.
Corsair describes precisely this magnetic coupling as the standard setup of the desk stand, which can be aligned vertically or horizontally.
If you want to attach the panel to an arm, use the two openings with the Vesa-compatible thread format on the back, which corresponds to the usual AV and camera standard and is compatible with Elgato Multi Mounts, Fanatec rigs or other mounts with this thread. These mounting points are also documented as an option in the Corsair manual, but this is really anything but witchcraft. The case also has a magnetic back with, according to Corsair, fourteen integrated magnets, which allows the display to be attached to ferromagnetic surfaces, for example to a steel side of the case or to a metal support, the load-bearing capacity depends on the surface, so I always check the adhesion before I use the touch intensively. The number of magnets and the intended use are listed on the official pages.
For permanent installation at a position of three hundred and sixty millimeters, use the four screw points on the back. Loosen the four machine screws at the corners, lay the matching fan or radiator bracket flat, align it flush and screw it back on with the previously loosened screws. Then mount the unit in the intended position in the housing, making sure that there is sufficient cable play and that the fan and radiator can work freely.

For integration into a side panel of the Frame series, however, it is better to use the separately available LCD side panel kit. The bracket is hooked into the case with the hooks, the side panel is swiveled in and the Xeneon Edge is placed at an angle in the bracket, the magnetic surface holds the module to the carrier plate. For additional security, the four corner screws of the screen are also placed in this holder so that the position is maintained when the side panel is opened and closed. Always assuming you have the right housing. If not, or if you want to remain flexible, then simply look for a free space, which is actually always possible, even on the benchtable:
So, that’s all out of the way, now it’s time to connect and the promised workarounds. After turning the page!
