Ergonomics and features
The PG27UCDM offers all ergonomic adjustment options: Height adjustment, swivel, tilt and pivot function. As is typical for ASUS, the workmanship is high quality and the materials have been chosen appropriately. As this is a Samsung QD OLED panel, it should be known that it can lose contrast when exposed to direct light. The semi-glossy panel should particularly appeal to fans of glossy displays.
In terms of connectivity, the monitor offers all the essentials: a DisplayPort, two HDMI ports, a 3.5 mm jack, USB-C with DisplayPort Alt mode and three USB-A ports. The setup is complemented by an integrated KVM switch. Both DisplayPort and USB-C support the DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20 standard, which enables UHD at 240 Hz without DSC. The HDMI connections fully comply with the HDMI 2.1 standard. In addition to the mains cable (the power supply unit is installed internally), the scope of delivery also includes an HDMI cable, a DisplayPort cable, a USB-C cable and a USB-A to USB-B cable.
The OSD menu corresponds to that of the PG32UCDM and offers all OLED Care functions, black frame insertion, extensive color settings including white point and gamma adjustment as well as various presets for gaming genres. An anti-flicker mode to reduce VRR flicker is also included.
At this point, that’s enough of an overview – if you want to know more about the OSD, you should take a look at the article on the PG32UCDM. We’ll go straight on to the response times and latencies.
