Summary
The PG27AQDP is a premium class gaming monitor. The ASUS monitor is characterized by its 27-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (WQHD). The panel offers vivid colors and wide viewing angles. With an extremely high refresh rate of 480 Hz, it is aimed specifically at competitive gamers who want to benefit from the fast response time. ELMB is also available to improve the motion clarity at 240 or 120 Hz.

The sleek, futuristic design with RGB lighting and narrow screen bezels matches the aesthetics of gaming setups. The ergonomic stand allows height adjustment, tilt, swivel and pivot. There is also HDR capability, which offers high brightness and an extended dynamic range for lifelike images. The monitor supports NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync for a smooth gaming experience without tearing or stuttering.
Target group:
The PG27AQDP is ideal for e-sports enthusiasts, professional gamers and users looking for a smooth gaming experience and outstanding picture quality. Even the latest AAA titles can be enjoyed in HDR on the PG27AQDP. Unfortunately, classic TN panels with comparable motion clarity cannot do this at all. And between gaming sessions, you can even edit a few vacation pictures or videos, as there is sufficient color accuracy for this too.
Conclusion
The ASUS ROG Swift PG27AQDP combines high performance, very good picture quality and advanced technologies and is one of the top models in the gaming monitor sector. Neither Tim (Monitors Unboxed), Simon (TFTCentral) nor I (Monitors Unboxed) found any really glaring weaknesses in the PG27AQDP. Of course, this has its price, which currently stands at 1070 euros. For this, you get the fastest monitor ever, paired with real HDR and good factory calibration. It also has the widest OSD feature set (ELMB, anti-flicker and the most comprehensive OLED care) on the market.
A purchase recommendation is of course difficult at this price and I can’t give one here. The fact is, however, that the PG27AQDP was the coolest monitor I’ve ever tested. In my opinion, the PG27AQDP comes very close to being a jack of all trades and is therefore a very good all-rounder!
The monitor was provided to me by ASUS without obligation – for testing purposes. There was no influence on the tests and results. There was also no compensation for expenses and no obligation to publish by ASUS or anyone else.
