It’s that time again: a new case is on the test bench. This time it’s all about the Sharkoon AK3 RGB. The case is currently only available in black. Buyers have the choice between two versions: with four pre-installed RGB fans and a glass side panel or with four unlit fans and a closed side panel without glass. These differences also affect the price – more on this later. In addition to the glass RGB version of the AK3 RGB, Sharkoon also provided me with a power supply unit and an AiO cooling unit for this test, as I didn’t have either in my own inventory. So, here we go.
The packaging is what you would expect from Sharkoon – simple but functional. The other components were also neatly packaged. There is nothing to complain about here.
The technical data can be found either directly on the Sharkoon website or in the linked PDF document.
Technical data
For an RRP of 79.90 euros, the AK3 RGB offers surprisingly good features. It includes four RGB fans as well as an RGB and fan hub with integrated controller and preset effects. The case is also generous when it comes to connections: one USB-C 3.2 Gen2, two USB-A 3.0 and a combined TRRS jack connection. Let’s take a closer look at the casing.
