Bambu Lab H2D AMS 2 Pro 3D printer in test – Two nozzles in long-term perspective

Assembly

Bambu Lab also offers a detailed video for this printer, which you can follow from unpacking to the first print:

Nevertheless, I will of course also go through the most important steps here.

Once the last piece of foam is out of the way and the print head can move freely, we can turn our attention to the back.

There are more adhesive strips to remove, but much more important is the small red plug.

This must be inserted into the connection for the emergency stop switch, which is only supplied with the laser version.

If you have the version with AMS, as here, you can now place it on top of the printer and remove the plastic film.

The required cables and PTFE hoses are already ready inside.

The sachets of silica gel beads are also unpacked and placed in the recess provided.

Then connect the cable and push the tube into both connections as far as it will go. Repeat the process if a second AMS has been purchased and connect it to the printer with the cable in series with the first one. The hose then goes into the second connection. I have left out the external coil holder for now, but otherwise it could also be attached now.
