We have already looked at some of this manufacturer’s backup and storage solutions in the past, but so far they have all been based on HDDs. Falling prices for SSDs, requirements for low latency with high throughput and perhaps even portability have fueled the popularity of “all-flash” solutions. And TerraMaster naturally doesn’t want to be left without a suitable offering, so today we take a look at the appropriately named F8 SSD NAS.
If this doesn’t appeal to you, you might find a suitable solution in the other test reports for this manufacturer:
Packaging and scope of delivery
Instead of the light brown box, this time there is a fully printed cardboard box in black, as it could also be found on the shelf of an electronics store. All sides show the contents from different perspectives.
Inside, several layers of protective foam await us, wrapping the NAS from all sides.
The black box at the bottom also contains the rather extensive accessories.
Included are an RJ45 network cable, 72 watt power supply from EDACPower type EA10682U-120, two small screws with screwdriver and 8 passive M.2 coolers.
Specifications
Before we go into detail, here is an overview of the key technical data. Further information can be found on the manufacturer’s product page.
