A while ago, I tested the Centauri Carbon from Elegoo, a really good 3D printer for a fair price. As part of my test reports, I always try not only to show a few test prints, but also to produce the “everyday objects” on the respective printer. However, this side project was so extensive that it warranted its own article. If you want to take another look at the test report, you can read it here:
Elegoo Centauri Carbon 3D printer review – A new budget standard recommendation without cloud
There is now a whole selection of printable 10″ server cabinets, after a bit of back and forth I decided on the “Lab Rax” from mklements.

“Honorable mentions, however, are definitely the rackstack project from jazwa..

In addition to the filament, Elegoo has also provided special printing surfaces for this project, and this set of 3 is now also regularly available in the manufacturer’s store.

I opted for the carbon look print surface for the large plates to match the name of the printer.

On the other hand, I printed the corner pieces on the regular “Side A” print surface of the Centauri Carbon. Since I’m not a big fan of brand names or labels on 3D printed parts, I made and published a remix of the front side, which allows you to add your own label.

The struts and connectors are also all made from black Elegoo PETG Pro.
I took a chance with the optional handles and printed them without support structures, the bridging result was really great. I then simply used soft TPU for the four feet.

And there’s no need for more parts for the time being, I’ll continue with the assembly on the next page.
