It’s December, but NVIDIA is not hibernating, on the contrary: the Californians are kicking off the “Season of RTX” with a mixture of marketing offensive, hardware showcase and software push. The focus is on the GeForce RTX 5090, which not only shines with massive computing power, but also delivers technical fireworks in combination with DLSS 4 and multi-frame generation. And as if that wasn’t enough, there is now also a special RTX 5090 Founders Edition branded with ARC Raiders to be won. NVIDIA is not only pulling out the technical stops, but also the emotional ones. The trick is old, but effective: combine a brand new, technologically impressive game (“Where Winds Meet”) with the promise of maximum FPS and entice the community with a fancy GPU giveaway on social media channels. PR meets tech fetish and the audience clicks, shares and comments.

But there is also real substance behind the event glitter. With “Where Winds Meet”, Everstone Studio delivers an open-world Wuxia adventure that not only stands out from the crowd visually, but also technically. The game, which is now available worldwide, is based entirely on DLSS 4, including multi-frame generation. According to NVIDIA, the frame rate can be increased by up to 3.9 times at 4K resolution and maximum settings on RTX 5090 cards. This means a playable 500 FPS in an environment that is visually more reminiscent of a CGI film than classic engine graphics. This is made possible by a combination of AI-supported frame interpolation (DLSS Frame Generation), classic supersampling (DLSS Super Resolution) and the new Transformer AI architecture, which coordinates all computing processes in the background.
And those who prefer maximum image quality can activate DLAA, an option that prioritizes quality over performance. The whole thing is complemented by NVIDIA Reflex, which, according to the manufacturer, reduces system latency by up to 53%. The advantage: not only more FPS, but also noticeably faster response times. Especially in a martial action title like “Where Winds Meet”, this can mean the difference between victory and game over.

It is no coincidence that NVIDIA is putting “Where Winds Meet” in the spotlight. The game is currently one of the most-played titles on Steam, with over 26,000 “Very Positive” ratings, a clear indicator that this is not just marketing hype, but real traction at work. This is exactly what NVIDIA needs to successfully position the new RTX 5000 series, not only as faster, but also as necessary in the context of future gaming experiences. The ARC Raiders giveaway rounds off the package in a PR-friendly way. If you want to take part in the prize draw for the limited custom GPU, all you have to do is follow, comment and share via Facebook, Instagram or X. It’s a clever move: the interactions on social media increase, the brand value is strengthened and the RTX 5090 moves further in the direction of the tech myth. It’s not cheap anyway, so why not at least try to win them over?
In the end, a clear impression remains: NVIDIA is doing what it does best in December 2025, combining technology with story, linking product features with gaming fun and mobilizing a community that is already eager for more performance. The GeForce RTX 5090 will become the new clock generator for everything that can be called graphically and computationally intensive, whether DLSS, AI upscaling, multi-frame or Reflex. The era of classic FPS metrics is over. Welcome to the age of generated frames, powered by Transformer.
