Fill up the memory once please
I write to the SSD as full as I can. Well, there’s still room for 30 MB – but it’s basically full.
Sequential performance of the used SSD
After formatting the SSD, I performed TRIM manually and waited another 10 minutes! We start again with the CrystalDiskMark: 64GB
The G5 apparently didn’t like this, a massive drop in performance. And I have measured this several times – over and over again. But it’s completely implausible, so I’ll have to look at it again. But what do the ATTO and AJA say now?
The ATTO only shows a minimal dip when writing. Strange!
The AJA again shows a larger drop in performance. Please compare the two PDF files – especially with regard to the read/write min values. For example: Write min. 6070 MB before, only 3047 MB afterwards. The result is also a result – but somehow implausible.
I still have an afterburner:
I am currently working on a large PC project in which I am using a mainboard with rear connectors (BTF) for the first time. Among other things, the Kingston Fury Renegade G5 is being used for this project and is already 24 percent described. And what can I say:
I am confused to the max! Another board (ASUS TUF B850E), also an M.2 PCIe 5.0 slot, and then the SSD runs again like on the first day. No idea what is or was going on. Unfortunately, I can no longer reproduce the whole thing, because the SSD is installed in the project PC and thanks to the custom water cooling, I can no longer access it without problems. I have deliberately not concealed my results from the testbench from you, because a result is a result – even if it is implausible and occurs repeatedly.
Now there’s something for the gamers:
The result then surprises again in a positive sense. The Fury Renegade is a real beast when it comes to gaming. I’ll use my own database for a better classification.
The KC3000 achieves a surprisingly poor ranking in the gaming benchmarks.
Unchallenged in first place in gaming – at least for the time being, until the next Gen 5 SSDs are in my test. It remains to be seen how the G5 performs in workstation use.
The fact is, the SSD has obviously not suffered any damage. That’s good!
