Today we take a closer look at the ASUS ROG Swift PG27UCDM, the little brother of the PG32UCDM. This is another 4K OLED monitor with a Samsung QD OLED panel and a resolution of 3840 × 2160. The panel offers 10-bit color depth and uses the latest fourth-generation subpixel layout, which noticeably improves text readability – especially thanks to the high pixel density of 166 ppi on 27 inches.
A brief note in advance: I only had two days to test the monitor, as it was kindly made available to me by my colleagues at HardwareDealz. The idea behind this was to compare the measurements between Igor’sLAB and HardwareDealz so that you can compare our results. This gives you a more objective assessment and allows you to understand whether the monitor actually lives up to expectations. I will go into these comparisons and the corresponding video from HardwareDealz later. Let’s first take a look at the packaging:
The monitor is functionally packaged, ASUS completely dispenses with polystyrene and instead relies on cardboard – a plus point in terms of environmental friendliness.
As usual, I have summarized the technical data in a PDF. You can also find more details on the ASUS website.

Let’s start with the ergonomics, followed by an analysis of the response times, color accuracy and possible firmware problems.
